Because Of Winn-Dixie
This is a loving story about a relationship between first, a girl and a lost dog, and that dog brings together all the neighbors. Hence, the name. By Kate DiCamillo, it's sure to bring out your awesome dog loveness. Ok... maybe not exactly, but hey! Who said anything about being exact? This book has also been made into a movie. And the movie is actually really similar to the story for once!
Alas, Another series, and this one a find very peculiar and intresting. The Last Dragon Chronicles brings a whole new meaning to dragons. These paticular dragons are made outta clay. So freckin cool!
The 1st book, the Fire Within, written by Chris D'lacey, is awesome. It hits off with a a very desperate David Rain, a student, desperate to find lodging. He finds a place at the Wayward Crescent, with a what seems to be a normal Mrs.Pennykettle and her daughter, Lucy. Mrs.Pennykettle makes clay dragons for a living. HINT HINT. Soon, David gets involoved with Lucy's quest to save the life of a dying squirrel, and with that, comes the cat outta of the bag. No! Not real cats! If you knew that, sorry, but you gotta make sure somethimes. :P. David finds out there secret about the clay dragons.
They 2nd book in this dragon sereis, David finds himself in a tight fix, when his lecturer asks him to prove that dragons are real. In order to win the prize of a research trip to the Artic, David sets off on a a trip of no return. ( Scary music plays in the backround.) He will actually learn more what he was expecting. This is top sercret! He learns more not just about dragons,but.............. sorry! You need the password to know it! Or just read the dang book.
The 3rd book. Poor David must go on another adventure to stop the evil sibyl Gwilanna as she tries again to revive Gawain - the last dragon - from the dead. Once again set in the Artic. Man, I gotta go check the place out if its getting so popular.
In this book of the series, 5 long years has passed since the mysterious disapperance of David Rain. ( Poor guy.) Then the weird stuff starts to happen. Artic melting, polar bears are straving and Inuit ghost are hauting. ( Uh, ghosts?) All eyes turn to David's daughter, Alexa. ( Poor girl. Man, this guy has an unlucky family!) She may be the key to stopping all of this, but how can a girl stop all of this craziness? Well unless she's David Rain's unlucky daughter of course.
4th book. Well, ya would think that the series would end by now, wouldn't have ya? Well sorry. not gonna happen. Yet. David Rain has a mission, ( Dude. He's unlucky!), save the world from dark fire, the deadliest thing in the universe. Sounds fun. But what about one of your beloved and prized clay dragons which you have bonded with, as the price? Now David most chose one of his clay dragons and the world. Which will it be? One clay dragon? Or the world? How about you try that on for size. You think you would pick the world? Well think again! What if you had to sacrifse someone close to you. Would you do it? To save the world? Sleep on it. I'm sure the next day you'll be dead.
